Smoky Hollow Farmstead is a couple of crazy dreamer’s labor of love over the last decade. Our dream of homesteading and growing the majority of our own foods has been in the making since we went and fell in love and then took a leap of faith - quitting our city jobs in the city to move way out yonder into the wilds of Oregon in 2017.

Our story was just getting good as our legal cannabis garden grew, and our passion for embracing the old ways began to really take hold. By 2018 we were able to acquire our 40acre farmstead and began the long process of creating our homestead. The building of the greenhouse, animal pastures and shelters, and garden followed in the next couple of years as our collection of heritage animals grew from a few turkeys to a gaggle, along with our flock of chickens, herd of sheep, goat family, pig family, and our array of water fowl who free roam the farm.

Our journey has been a bit of a roller-coaster with our humble beginnings in 2016 with a greenhouse hydroponic tomato, herb, and sprout venture, which then turned into a USDA chicken and egg business, which then added in licensed hemp and medical cannabis gardens and finally the farmstead: where all of these ventures combined and we now steward an orchard, edible and medicinal plants fed with our homemade compost and plant ferments, and where we nurture and then process and freeze our own pasture raised heritage turkey, chicken, lamb, and goat livestock - which is all born right here on the farm (except for our ethically sourced heritage chicken meat). We have also added a thriving beehive to our little farmstead recently and can’t wait to see where the farm takes us next!
